Synopsis
- In this activity, students choose three biomes to research. Then they color them on the world map and add the key map and compass.
- Students write a paragraph describing the biome and then discuss the effects of climate change on the biomes and suggest possible solutions.

Prerequisites
- Students need to be familiar with the following: key, compass, biomes, and how to describe aspects of physical geography such as biomes.
- The teacher must print the student handout for each student.
Differentiation & Implementation
- Support group: The teacher can guide students in their research and help them write their paragraph by outlining the main ideas.
- Extension group: Students could research more than three biomes.
- Students can create a diorama of one of their three biomes using a shoebox and present to their classmates.
